Proclaiming the gospel

“How are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard?” (Romans 10:14)

The proclamation of the Gospel opens heaven for us and for all.

Everyone who comes to God receives a ‘free entrance’ card to enter the gates of heaven. He has never told someone ‘sorry, I have no cards left’, or ‘no cards today’. He is a generous God.

Of course, you would not realize it when you do not believe in God. Because then you do not turn to Him. And if you haven’t heard of Him, you cannot even believe in Him. That is why the proclamation of the Gospel is so important. Where the Gospel is proclaimed, people can come to faith. That is how heaven opens to them.

We listen to the Gospel, because we can never hear enough about Christ.
We proclaim His Gospel to our children, because every next generation must see the open heaven.
We proclaim His Gospel to the ends of the earth, because we grant everyone to know Him for He is precious to us.

What was the last time that you proclaimed the gospel to someone? What effect did it have on that person? And what effect did it have on yourself?
