Two options: being with Jesus or against Him

What is a Christian?

“Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.” (Luke 11:23)

We have read about many different responses to Jesus. Some people were curious to see his miracles. Others were upset about his claim to be God and sought to destroy him. A growing group of people really believed in him and received Him into their heart and their life. Others were interested in Jesus’ teaching, but considered other things more
important. But this wide variety of responses boils down to one choice: you are either with Jesus or against him. You believe his claims to be the Son of God and the Savior of humanity, or you don’t. You worship him as God and want him to be Lord over your life, or you decide to reject him and be your own boss instead. Either you are filled with his love and forgiveness, or you remain in your sin.

This decision is of vital importance, both for your present life here on earth and for life after death. Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him. (John 3:36)
