Jesus will put all his enemies under his feet

Why do people love darkness more than light?

“Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power. For He must reign until He has put all his enemies under his feet.” (1 Corinthians 15:24-25)

Jesus has defeated Satan, but not yet fully destroyed him. There are still spiritual powers that oppose God and his Kingdom. Jesus will not rest till He has put them under his feet.

The Bible differentiates between “this age” and “the age to come”. “This age” is the world in which we currently live. During this age, Satan still has some power. But when Jesus returns to this earth to judge humanity, He will throw Satan and his servants into the lake of fire and sulfur, where they will be tormented day and night forever and ever (Revelation 20:10).

These events will mark the beginning of “the age to come”. God will create a new earth without any trace of Satan’s influence: “death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away” (Revelation 21:4). Then the battle will be finally over. Then God’s children will sing Him
praise forever: “Hallelujah! For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns. Let us rejoice and exult and give him the glory” (Revelation 19:6-7)

Accept God’s invitation to let Him reign over your life as well. Only then will you live forever to join this song of worship. Are you willing to open your heart for God to let Him reign in your life?
