As God’s children all heavenly riches are our inheritance.
Man receives the living spirit from God. That is why Adam is called the son of God in the Bible. But through sin we place ourselves outside God’s family. When we come to believe, we receive the Holy Spirit, the living Spirit of God. Then we become His sons and daughters again.
That gives us the right to brag: my Father is the best, the strongest, the most loving, the greatest. It also gives us right to an inheritance. Not that our Heavenly Father will ever die, but we may share in everything that belongs to Him. He likes to give us the best He has.
Our Father is busy preparing something for us. It is still a surprize, but we already know what it is called: the new earth. We cannot imagine it right now. That makes it exciting. We are looking forward to it with a eager desire, because it is going to be great! We are counting the days!
