“Let your Kingdom come.”
(Matthew 6:10)
God is King, He is even called “King of kings”. But presently, not everybody does acknowledge and accept Him as such. We pray that this will change, in our own life and worldwide.
We ask God to reign in us, so that we will more and more submit ourselves to Him. We also pray that God will expand His church, protect her and take care of her. She is the most explicit expression of God’s kingdom on earth. Finally, we pray that Godwill combat every power that rebels against Him, so that ultimatelyall evil will be destroyed and God’s kingdom will be complete. Then everything will be subjected to him, and God will be all in all (1 Corinthians 15:28).
This is the future hope of the church, and with Jesus’ death and resurrection this Kingdom has already started. We long for its fulfillment.
Have you really accepted God as King?
