King Nebuchadnezzar had dreamed and made an impossible demand: his wise men had to not only give the interpretation of his dream, but also tell what he had dreamed. The Babylonian counselors replied that only the gods were capable of doing so, and that they did not dwell among men. In other words: no human could fulfill Nebuchadnezzar’s request. At that decisive moment, Daniel stepped forward, convinced that the living God knows all hidden things and can reveal them to His children. After Daniel had sought the Lord in prayer, the secret was revealed to him. As a result, God’s name was glorified throughout the kingdom.
Daniel’s God is the same today as well. He can give insight and wisdom in every area of life. He seeks people who humbly turn to Him and ask for His guidance, whether in science, medicine, technology, or spiritual discernment, so that His name may be glorified.
